Dear Bulldogs,

 

Welcome to Swanton Elementary School!  I am excited to be your Dean of Students at SES and to continue our tradition of excellence!

 

As Dean of Students and as a teacher, the most important role in education is the involvement of our parents.  Swanton Local Schools offer a variety of ways to be involved with our kids.  This includes Swanton Parent’s Club, classroom volunteers, and much more!  I encourage you to do all you can to make our community all it can be!

 

My obligation to our students as Dean of Students is to help the kids learn appropriate behaviors not just in school but also in life.  We teach this through research based PAX (www.paxis.org).  Staff at Swanton Elementary utilize PAX to help teach appropriate behaviors and to minimize “spleems” through PAX kernels and eventually the PAX Good Behavior Game.  This is a way for us to “Better our world, and better ourselves.”
